Karin Brugman geeft incompany expat trainingen bij bedrijven.
Cultuurshock
- (In)directe communicatie (lees de blog: lieg alsjeblieft eens tegen me)
Expat problemen
Expat evaluations
Transformation
- We are working for a company that cares about us, our feelings and our experience in this country. This is something I will probably not find in another company. I value that our company organizes this training for us. To connect to other expats and to feel heard, appreciated and welcomed (inclusivity).
- Great experience! The program helps in awakening expat themes, facing them and finding ways to overcome them.
- This training developed a significant shift in my behavior and mindset on how to approach my expat life. It encouraged me to be more considerate and empathetic in my daily life to the Dutch way of life.
- I genuinely believe that more people within the company should have the opportunity to experience this positive change. It boosts my confidence and comfort.
- This training provides a view on essential skills and knowledge you need to thrive in a new culture. It is about feeling confident and making the most of your expat experience. The trainers are fantastic, the content is practical, and the support is exceptional. You won’t regret investing your time in this program.
- It helps in building stronger connections not only with your direct colleagues but also international you meet in the training. That way you may have a stand-by support system.
- The training gave me Cultural Insight: a better understanding of the local culture and customs. It makes adapting so much easier. And it provides deeper understanding and appreciation of yourself and the culture you are now a part of. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me more open-minded and resilient
Connection
- Both fun and depth. Great way to get in touch with other expats at the company.
- Exceptionally informative and relevant content! Valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of living and working in the Netherlands. So different from my home country.
- This training opened my eyes in many ways. It made me more aware of some of my own and other people’s behaviors.
- We dived deep into feelings of not being in our own country (the definition of home). I had a great time studying our “selves” and trying to role play with them. I can use this training to analyze my emotions while I have down times.
- An enjoyable learning experience: the training was well-structured and organized. Easy to follow and digest. And very interactive using participant’s real-life case studies, allowing to apply the knowledge gained in practical situations. It enhanced my understanding of the material.
- The program was very good. It will help me analyze situations in life and work better.
- It changed my perception.
- The training equipped me with valuable knowledge and skills. I feel empowered and more capable and self-assured in tackling challenges both in my work and personal life. This empowerment extends to my decision-making ability. I now have the tools and insights to make informed choices and take action with confidence.
- The training has given me a higher sense of belonging. I connected with people with similar goals and interests. I feel more connected, fostering a stronger sense of unity. This all contributed to a more positive work environment. I no longer feel lonely.
- The training has had a significant impact on my confidence levels. I feel more capable of handling tasks and responsibilities in my professional role.
- The training cultivated a sense of community among all participants. This community feels like a second home, where eceryone can share experiences, insights, and challenges. This feeling of being part of a supportive nurturing community made the training even more enriching and enjoyable.
- I found the training to be a valuable resource for addressing my expat dilemmas. It equipped me with essential skills and knowledge but also boosted my confidence in navigating the challenges of expatriate life. Together with this newly created community.
Sharing & connecting cultures
- I enjoyed connecting with other expats that are in the same situation as I am. To freely share our stories, emotions, ideas and experiences. I recognize my struggles in their stories. And I appreciated the trainer’s approach in showing how valuable our cultural differences are.
- I connected with colleagues I would have never connected with. When I meet them at the office I get lots of energy from it. And I know I am not the only one whenever I feel different (it often happens). I feel less alone.
- Participating in this training opens doors to building a broader and more closely-knit community of expats at the company. It’s not just about acquiring new skills and knowledge; it’s about creating a support network.
- Knowing you are not alone in your struggles is comforting and helps not feeling alone at work. Thus you can move on from it or deal with it better.
- A nice setting to get to know other colleagues and realize that we all experienced the same challenges. That gives a sense of inclusion and in a way comfort. It was also interesting to hear different perspective on a given topic and understand the metrics of Dutch culture.
